This Greenfield project is a 69KV to 12KV substation that is part of the ABC master project for AEP. The ABC Master plan includes multiple substations, rebuilding of 25 miles of transmission line and 10 miles of new transmission line. Vaughn Industries provided a 9 acre stoned lot in the heart of the ABC project to serve as the laydown yard for material and to prefabricate as much equipment as possible, creating cost and time savings. This “Prefab” Yard is the first of its kind for electrical transmission and distribution.
